Both times all I had to do was disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for about 30 seconds.. then reconnect, and that’s it, the rear gate will auto-reset. The fuse box is usually under the hood and on the right side of the engine bay. Check the power liftgate fuse to see if it has blown or if it has any other issues.
